Small holes in the applied paint finish which can originate from trapped air in the applied polyester body filler or trapped solvents in the applied filler. Sanding will open the surface, causing small holes to be present in the surface. Substrate such as new glass reinforced polyester can show pinholes originate from the substrates production process.
Sand down to a stable layer, removing all the pinholes in the defected layer within the system they are present. Clean the surface and re-apply the paint system according to the TDS. *For GRP special pinhole fillers might be required to fill these pinholes.
